How to create the perfect booklet for your business
Marketing your business is not the easiest of things to get to grips with, there are lots of different approaches, techniques and tools that you can use to make sure that you get your name out there and you are recognisable to your target audience.
The vast majority of marketing approaches in this modern world revolve around the internet, such as email marketing and using social media; however, the old-fashioned approaches can actually be a good route to take too.
This includes things such as booklet printing. The thing to remember about booklet printing is that it is important that you get it right. If you don’t then you might not get the impact that you are hoping for. To help you out, we have put together our guide on how to create the perfect booklet.
Don’t be scared to leave white space
You might be worried that your booklet needs to be packed full of colour and imagery. Of course, having colour means that you are going to be able to get people’s attention; this doesn’t mean that a blank space can’t do the same thing. If you have a title or a short message that you want to get across, then teaming black writing with a simple blank white background is a great way to create contrast.
Layering and creating texture is a great way to make sure that your booklet is easy to read and keep people’s interest. A solid page with heavy text might have all the information that you need to share, but it won’t be as easy to read. Or be as interesting to look at either.
Making sure that you have clear and defined text and images is vital when it comes to designing a brochure. You need to ensure that the text is easy to read and that the sections are clearly defined and separated, if you don’t manage to do this, then everything is going to have the feeling of being confused and a little on the muddled side. Which is going to be overwhelming to the reader.
As much as we said earlier about not being afraid to use blank spaces in your booklet design, it is also a good idea to use colour. Being bright, bold and colourful is going to definitely make a statement and catch people’s eyes. The good news is that you don’t have to worry about using colour and it distracting away from the words, as they can actually help to ensure that what you need to say stands out.
Don’t just think about imagery
We have spoken a lot about imagery and how the booklet looks and whilst this is hugely important, you also need to pay attention to what your booklet actually says. Content is key and you need to take as much time to write the words that you include as you do thinking about the design.
As you can see, there is plenty to think about when it comes to booklet printing, however, we can promise you that making the effort to design and create amazing booklets could be just what you need for your business, making sure that you get the exposure that you need to succeed.
